Succour as Kano Reps distributes N470 million worth food items to constituents

As part of measures to bring succour to his immediate constituents, a member representing Ajingi/Albasu/Gaya Federal Constituency of Kano state Dr. Ghali Mustapha Tijjani has disbursed food items worth N470 million.

Tagged Ramadan Palliatives, the Federal lawmakers intervention targeted to ease the economic hardship arising from increase in inflation and high cost of living.

Hundreds of beneficiaries from the three local government areas that form the constituency were delighted with the items distributed that four trucks of rice, four trucks of maize flour, and two trucks of spaghetti.

Speaking at the unveiling of the welfare program, Dr. Ghali Mustapha Tijjani said the comprehensive Ramadan support initiative was part of his commitment to enhance the wellbeing of his kingsmen.

Dr. Tijjani, who double as Chairman, house committee on Ethics and Privileges stressed that besides the food provision, the N30 million cash were given as grants to promote entrepreneur.

The lawmaker emphasized that these measures are direct respond to the economic pressures facing his constituents during and after the holy period of Ramadan.

“During this holy month of Ramadan, it is our corporate responsibility to provide meaningful support to our community members. This distribution represents not only material assistance but also our commitment to fostering hope and solidarity throughout our constituency.

“We established a standard of such service last year and we remain dedicated to elevating that standard moving forward, Insha Allah,” he stated.

Dr. Tijjani also outlined the strategic vision behind this initiative, noting that it forms part of a comprehensive development agenda for 2025 fiscal year.

“We are implementing a structured approach to constituency development that includes upcoming youth empowerment programs and infrastructure development and enhancement projects.

“My mission is to ensure that every constituent benefits from these targeted interventions both immediately and in the long term,” he added.

Community leaders and stakeholders have responded positively to this initiative, acknowledging the representative’s commitment to effective public service delivery and sustainable development objectives.
