SPCOBA hails Azinge’s election as 14th Asagba of Asaba

St. Patrick's College Asaba Old Boys Association (SPCOBA) has felicitated an alumnus of the school, Prof. Epiphany Chibogu Azinge, on his election as the 14th Asagba (elect) of the ancient town of Asaba, Delta State.

Delta Speaker promises to partner new monarch
St. Patrick’s College Asaba Old Boys Association (SPCOBA) has felicitated an alumnus of the school, Prof. Epiphany Chibogu Azinge, on his election as the 14th Asagba (elect) of the ancient town of Asaba, Delta State.

In a statement by its President, Anthony Odiadi, and Secretary, Colonel Tajudeen Bakare (rtd), yesterday, the association hailed Azinge’s election, describing it as a hard-fought and well-determined process.

The group said that the kingmakers found Azinge eminently qualified to ascend the throne of the town in this modern era.

MEANWHILE, the Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, yesterday, pledged to work with the Asagba of Asaba to address challenges and promote opportunities in line with the government’s efforts at ensuring that Asaba remains a beacon of pride of the state and the nation at large.”

While congratulating Azinge as the 14th Asagba of Asaba designate, Guwor said that his emergence marked a new era of growth, development and cultural rejuvenation of Asaba.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, the Speaker also congratulated the people for the peaceful selection process of the new monarch.

Guwor, on behalf of himself, principal officers, members and management of the state Assembly, pledged legislative support and partnership, ahead of the coronation of the Asagba designate.
