A 49-year-old U.S.-trained nurse, Oluwadare Faduri, has declared interest in the 2027 presidential race, citing the urgent need to salvage Nigeria from the brink of total collapse as his motivation.
The Ipetu-Ijesha, Osun State-born canvassed for more involvement of youths in the nation’s politics.
He promised that if elected as the next president of the nation, he would reverse the policies perceived to be melting hardship on Nigerians.
Faduri, who is contesting under the National Rescue Movement (NRM), disclosed this at a media parley in Ilorin, recently.
He called on more young Nigerians to contest the presidential election, urging the electorate to support his ambition.
“If elected as the president, we are going to reverse this administration’s policies, then have a discussion on better ways to go about it that will not affect the masses. I am as prepared as many Nigerians are ready to make Nigeria work,” he said.
He promised that he would fix the electricity sector and ensure that the nation is law-abiding and fair to all if elected in 2027.
He also pledged to run a nation where “what we will use will be produced by Nigerians so as to have a more viable economy.”
