Serena Williams has recently announced her pregnancy and joked about the possibility of naming her second child after her favourite Disney characters.

The tennis star posted a video on TikTok in which she listed Maleficent, Scar, Gaston, Ursula, and Lady Gothel as potential names for her baby, depending on the gender.

“Good Morning. I was thinking about… I don’t know the gender, I don’t know if we’re having a girl or a boy. So, I’m thinking about some names and I was like maybe I should do something with my favourite disney characters because I love disney and as you know, I’m like their biggest fan,” Williams said.

“So, if it’s a girl, it could be like malecifent (Maleficent), that’s how you say it?” she added. “It could be Scar, if it’s a boy, love Scar. misunderstood a little bit.

What else? Gaston. how cpuld I forget Gaston. Ursula, classic, got to love Ursula. Lady Gothel, maybe I can call her Lady Gothel if it’s a girl. So just been through these names. Telling you, I’m onto something.”

Williams is a huge fan of Disney and often shares her love for the animation company on social media.

The 41-year-old Williams made the pregnancy announcement on social media, sharing a photo of herself and her husband at the Met Gala, where they were guests of Anna Wintour.

Williams recently retired from tennis, having played her last tournament at the 2022 US Open, where she reached the third round.

She ended the season with three wins out of seven matches. Williams reunited with her fellow tennis legend Roger Federer at the Met Gala, where the Swiss player served as one of the co-hosts with his wife.

Federer played his last professional match at the Laver Cup, partnering with Rafael Nadal and losing to Jack Sock and Frances Tiafoe.
