The managements of both the government and privately owned primary and secondary schools in Lagos have been called upon to rejig security in their schools and make safety of their students a priority in order to avoid a repeat of Chibok incident.

Making the call at the Young Ministers Competition grand finale award at the National Theatre, Iganmu in Lagos, the Executive Producer of Kiddies Vision Magazine, Mrs. Nnena Umeohia urged government to include Security Studies in the school curriculum.

She said that the primary purpose of Young Ministers’ competition was to nurture young Nigerians on excellent leadership, including how they can secure themselves in schools, home and other public places.

Umeohia noted that through the competition, the participating students identified themselves with different ministries of their choice, where they defend their policies if appointed either as Minister or Commissioner of such ministries or government parastatals.
